Question: What kind of maintenance is required?
Answer: The filter cartridge will need to be rinsed each week with the garden hose and chemically cleaned once every 4 – 6 weeks. Depending on use you will have to drain your spa periodically and refill with fresh water, the period between draining and refilling should not exceed three months. This is the ideal time to give the surface of the spa a good clean using an appropriate cleaner, household detergents should be avoided.
Question: What chemicals do I need to use?
Answer: Customers of Regency Pools and Spas benefit from the expert advice from the experienced Jim Lamb who has been appointed to the board of Spa Doctors on the WhatSpa.com website. We recommend the AquaFinesse spa water treatment system which offers spa owners a simplistic approach to spa care, a simple weekly dose of the AquaFinesse liquid and replacement of the chlorine tablet/s in a floating dispenser each time it has run out. We offer water testing service and you are welcome to visit us once a month or as often as you wish for a complete ‘health check’ on your water, this service is *free of charge and part of our comprehensive after sales service.
Question: What are the running costs of owning a spa?
Answer: The average spa costs less than £1 a day, this depends on the size of spa, use, desired temperature and power provider. 80% of the heat is lost from the water surface so ensure that the hard top thermal cover is in place when the spa is not in use and the cabinet has good foam insulation for full energy efficiency.
Question: Can we try the spa first?
Answer: Any of the display spas can be filled and commissioned for ‘wet testing’ either during shop hours or by appointment after hours.
